About the Educator and Strategist: Equity, Anti-racism and Anti-oppression

Evenings & Weekends Consulting is looking for an Educator and Strategist: Equity, Anti-racism and Anti-oppression to join our small but growing team. They will be responsible for consulting on a range of projects with a specific focus on equity, anti-racism, anti-oppression and accessibility, as well as developing workshops and training in relation to equity, anti-racism and anti-oppression and providing individual coaching/mentorship to various clients.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Coordinate and consult on projects that focus on embedding and advancing equity, anti-racism and/or anti-oppression within organizations

  • Develop and facilitate workshops and training that focuses on building skills and knowledge as it relates to equity, anti-racism, anti-oppression and disability justice

  • Provide one-on-one or team coaching/mentorship to assigned clients

  • Provide support to other Consultants in the design of engagement campaigns

  • Act as the primary contact with assigned clients and attend on-going check-in meetings with clients

  • Assist the Principal Consultants with proposal process and business development activities as required

  • Ensure that expected deliverables, project activities and outcomes are met based on the agreed timeline

  • Develop and create/co-create content materials, tools, training and/or presentations required to execute project and meet deliverables with support from the Principal Consultants and other members of Evenings & Weekends Consulting team

  • Develop and track project timelines (in Asana) and maintain Client’s files in a organized way

  • Conduct general research and analysis as required

  • Participate in on-going team meetings and contribute to business development strategies for the organization

Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • A willingness to centre joy in the work

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.


Salary: $32,812.50 (14 hours per week - 2 days per week)

Work Schedule: This position is expected to be 2 days per week (8 hours per day including 1 hour paid lunch break) - Schedule can be flexible between Monday to Thursday but will also depend on Clients’ needs. Some evenings/early mornings, Fridays and weekends work may be required from time to time.

Reports to: The Principal Consultants

Location: Virtual (the successful applicant will be expected to have access to their own office set up but a laptop can be provided as needed). Some in-person meetings may be required from time-to-time.

Vacation: 4 weeks + 1-week March Break + 2-week Winter Shutdown based on a 2-day work week

Wellness/Sick Days: 8 Days Personal Days: 2 Days

Start date: April 2023 (to be discussed with selected candidate)
