April 16 is Equal Pay Day in Ontario. It symbolizes how far into the next year the average woman must work just to earn what the average man did in the previous year.
In the nonprofit sector, this pay gap is especially glaring. Women make up 80% of all nonprofit workers, yet men earn more than women in every category of the sector.
